ZMSH offers LHPG (Laser Heated Pedestal Growth) grade sapphire fibers with diameters ranging from 75 to 500 μm. Furthermore, fibers with enlarged ends, fabricated through tapering processes, are also available. This is a significant feature because the flexibility of the fiber varies inversely with the fourth power of its diameter (e.g., a 100 μm fiber is 16 times more flexible than a 200 μm fiber). Tapered fibers provide users with high light transmission capability without sacrificing flexibility, making them suitable for both energy transmission and spectroscopic applications.
